Feed stations
Hærvejsløbet - The Viking Gran Fondo is renowned for its feed stations praised by our participants. Here, you can read more about what to expect and look forward to.
How many times have you had eggs and bacon, a pulled pork sandwich or a soft ice during a gran fondo?
That's just some of the highlights in the 17 different feed stations at Hærvejsløbet - The Viking Gran Fondo.
We put emphasis on the experience rather than a quick finishing time, and getting to a feed station should be an experience. Therefore, you won't find energy bars and gels in our feed stations, but a varied selection of real foods, snacks, cakes, chocolate, bread, fruits, coffee, energy drink and more.
Organized by local volunteers
Each feed station is organized by a local club or organization and multiple volunteers. The club is responsible for the feed station and decides themselves what foods to serve.
Some feed stations serve local specialties, while others are known for an almost iconic dish such as the soup in Nørre Snede.
For this reason, you won't find the same selection at all feed stations - it varies from feed station to feed station and from route to route.
Apart from the foods and drinks, the feed stations are highly praised for their great atmosphere created by the volunteers.
